The Case of Women, Slaves, and Children.

M.III. 3. Women, slaves, and little children are exempt from the recitation of the Shma‘, and from the Phylacteries, but are under obligation in the case of the Prayer, and the Mezuzah, and the Benediction after meals. ¹
