THUNDER
The Northern Mewuk near South Fork Cosumnes River say:
Tim'-mel-le the Thunder is, or is like, Ti'-e-te the Valley Bluejay. He lives down below [west] in the San Joaquin Valley, where the clouds are. Sometimes he becomes angry and makes a great rumbling noise; this noise is Tim'-mel-le the Thunder. 28
