For the Bite of a Mad Dog
An oration which Colum-Cille set to a wound full of poison--
"Arise, O Carmac, O Clunane, through Christ be thou healed. By the hand of Christ be thou healed in blood, in marrow, and in bane. AMEN."
This oration to be pronounced over a man or a woman, a horse or a cow, but never over a hog or a dog. The wound to be rubbed with butter during the oration.
