THE FOUR QUARTERS OF THE YEAR.

1. Winter. 2. Spring. 3. Summer. 4. Autumn.

Or thus:--

1. Winter. 2. Spring. 3. Summer.--White grasses.

And the four points of the sun are thus:--

1. The point of roughness. 2. The point of regeneration. 3. The point of summer. 4. The point of reaping time. ²

Also vulgarly, thus:--

1. Summer. 2. Winter. 3. Spring.
